Wags N' Walks is a volunteer-based program created to connect the community with the dogs of PAWS Atlanta. One Saturday morning per month, PAWS Atlanta Wags N' Walks will meet dog walkers on the BeltLine Eastside Trail. Walkers will be paired with a dog for a morning of walking and exploring. Wags N' Walks is a two-hour program and volunteer walkers are asked to participate for the entire duration. We ask that participants leave their own four-legged friends at home so they can focus on their PAWS Atlanta companion for the morning.
To ensure the best possible experience for both two-legged and four-legged friends, please be honest about your experience and comfort level with dog handling on your application. An application does not ensure a spot. All applicants will be notified of their participation status once applications have been reviewed.
The application will allow us to match you with a dog that best suits your needs, for example an active dog for runners. We allow one walking buddy per application. Spaces are limited, so please complete your form as soon as possible to ensure there is room for you to participate.
We’re trying something new this spring! Participants will apply to each Walk they are interested in joining. This will help us better allocate available spaces for participants and send more dogs on an offsite adventure. Talk about a doggone good time! The application periods will be as follows:
March 15th:
Application period: March 5th – March 7th
Notification date: March 8th
April 12th:
Application period: April 2nd – April 4th
Notification date: April 5th
May 10th:
Application period: April 30th – May 2nd
