Matthew arrived at PAWS Atlanta after some difficult times. He wasn't very social and didn't trust humans. He also had some health concerns that prevented him from truly thriving. Read Matthew's previous feature to get a full picture of his journey during his time with us. In summary, this boy has come a long way!

After flourishing in his foster home, we knew Matthew was definitely ready to find his forever person. When Jaime made an appointment to meet him, we were excited but tried not to get our hopes up too high - we never know how these meetings will go. However, this one couldn't have gone better! Jaime's first words after meeting Matthew were, "How can I not adopt him?" and we agree. We are elated to share Jaime's update with you, all about how Matthew is living his best life.

Jaime said the following about our favorite little spotted cow:

"Matthew is the best boy, and I’m truly so happy I brought him home! He’s chill and very cuddly. He doesn’t care much for the toys I got him, but he does love a good nap. He’s also very polite: doesn’t scratch my furniture, doesn’t get on kitchen counters, and had no problems using his new litterbox. He doesn’t touch my plants and doesn’t get into things he shouldn’t - what a nice guy! Honestly, he's the dream cat. 

I really do think he’s a dog in a cat's body: my boy LOVES a belly rub! He sleeps on the bed with me, and comes right over when I call him. He’s an aggressive cuddler and throws all his weight behind it, to make sure you really feel the love. He's so affectionate.

I think he’s happy here, and I’m excited to see how he continues to get comfortable as he settles in."

This is the best kind of update, and we're so happy for Matthew!
