Dobby and Boeing (now Calvin and Hobbes!) were adopted together in August 2025. They're the perfect pair of brothers, always snuggling and doing everything together around the house. It was a long journey for both of them, but now they're exactly where they're supposed to be.

Dobby first came to PAWS Atlanta in April 2025 when his owner developed unexpected allergies and had to give him up. He was an incredibly sweet cat, and at only eight months old, he was still figuring everything out. We wanted to find him the right home while he was still young so he could grow up with a loving family. A few months later in June, Dobby was adopted! However, he returned to the shelter only a week later. Disappointed, we watched Dobby continue to wait.

In July, Boeing arrived at PAWS Atlanta as part of a pair of four-month-old kittens. They'd been found outside without their mom, so they were brought to PAWS Atlanta for the healthy start they deserved. Despite their rough beginning, both kittens were happy and playful. We were hopeful they'd soon find loving homes. Boeing did, only a few weeks later! But he arrived back at the shelter the next day, as the other pet in the house didn't get along with him. So, Boeing also waited.

Then, at the end of August, the best possible thing happened: Dobby and Boeing were adopted together! We knew Dobby wanted a home with other kitty friends. In his room in the Cat Cottage, he could always be found in the window bed under a pile of kittens. He seemed to be the self-appointed big brother of the room, and we could tell he would be happiest with a friend. So, when Dobby and Boeing left PAWS Atlanta together, it was a dream come true. The two continue to snuggle up with each other every evening, and we couldn't imagine a more perfect pair!
